One of my interests is painting wildlife; the big 5 greatly inspired me. Each piece seems to tell a story about this unique world.

There is a way that nature speaks.  It is about the journey of these beautiful creatures on a dusty, sunny day. You can feel a warm, friendly connection between them that reflect peace and calmness and sometimes their anguish. I enjoyed painting every step of this picture, and my efforts to reveal this wild world.

The main focus of this picture is the gaze of this beautiful creature. The eyes just speak to you, like a friend, not an adversary; and you feel a soul connection and empathy.

I have been amazed and moved by the connection of feeling between the Beauty and the so called Beast. The most difficult part was painting the eyes of King Kong; there is almost a human quality. His facial expressions can tell you an amazing and unique tale about our beautiful & misunderstood cousin.

I try to be honest with my Art, and to express all aspects of my emotions in the hope that it will connect with the recipient in a similar positive way.
